Hudson Valley Pet Food Pantry

The Hudson Valley Pet Food Pantry has announced that its annual Harvest Gathering Fundraiser will be held on Monday, October 27. The event is staged in order to raise funds for the pantry’s “Help Feed Our Pets” program which provides free pet food to 300 client families who are experiencing financial hardship. Through its efforts which feed 766 pets, the animals are able to remain at home and their owners no longer are faced with having to abandon them or surrender them to shelters.

The event will be held at Vintage Restaurant, 171 Main St., White Plains, NY, starting at 5:30 p.m. and will include a buffet dinner, dessert, beer, wine and soda. There will also be a silent auction and a raffle.

The Hudson Valley Pet Food Pantry was founded in 2010. The goal of the pantry is to keep these animals out of shelters or being abandoned on the streets. This includes senior citizens, disabled persons, veterans, unemployed and those living on fixed low income.
